William joined CAC Specialty’s Natural Resources Practice as Director of Claims and Client Advocacy with 19 years of experience in quantifying insurance risk to weather phenomena and managing complex and catastrophe claims for marine and energy clients worldwide.

William is a dynamic thinker and has a passion for numerical modeling and statistical analysis. Over the years, he developed a plethora of instrumental tools for clients to assess and manage weather risks and lower insurance costs.

Prior to joining CAC Specialty, William handled a wide spectrum of on- and offshore claims from natural perils, well blowouts, pollution liability, pipe rupture, allision, fire, loss of mooring lines, and more, involving such asset types as floating production units, semi-submersibles, fixed platforms, jack-up rigs, container vessels, and onshore industrial facilities.

William obtained bachelor’s degrees in mathematics and economics from Vanderbilt University and graduated from Harvard University with a master’s degree in general management.

In his spare time, he serves on the Board of Houston Claims Association and the Board of YoungShip, and as a Planning Committee of Houston Marine & Energy Insurance Conference. He is also a working group member of the Offshore Wind Technical Advisory Panel, a sub-committee of AWEA (American Wind Energy Association).
