Pete Oglesby

Pete is a Senior Vice President at CAC Specialty and serves as Mortgage Services Practice Leader. His background, in addition to the mortgage industry, has been in underwriting, risk management, property & casualty, captive insurance and corporate agency construct. Pete brings a deep background in GSE regulations, Lender-Placed Insurance (LPI) and Real Estate Owned (REO) programs and governance/oversight within mortgage and banking industries.

Before joining CAC, Pete was Vice President for a US top 5 mortgage originator/servicer where he led their Insurance Risk Management department. He established and became CEO of their captive insurance company and an internal corporate insurance agency.

Pete also spent over 27 years with State Farm Insurance Companies in underwriting, regional/corporate leadership, and agency divisions before retiring as an Agency Field Executive. Pete was a State Farm Agent, qualifying for multiple company and industry awards in sales production and profitability.

Pete earned an athletic/academic scholarship and graduated from Florida Southern College with degrees in business administration and mathematics. He has served in leadership positions with National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) on a chapter level, member of the Risk Management Society (RIMS – Atlanta chapter) and Client Advisory Board member for a national insurance carrier. Pete holds designations from the Insurance Institutes of America, is licensed in 48 states and previously held Series 6, 26 & 63 licenses.
