Palanda Brownlow

Palanda Brownlow is the Associate General Counsel for Legal and Claims at CAC Specialty, where she brings over a decade of distinguished legal expertise spanning commercial contracts, compliance, risk management, and high-stakes strategic counsel across consumer-facing industries.

Prior to CAC Specialty, Palanda distinguished herself as Corporate Counsel at Axiom Law, where she worked with Fortune 500 companies, masterfully negotiating and drafting high-value agreements. Her role extended beyond traditional counsel as she partnered with subject matter experts to deliver tailored legal strategies, elevating business operations and mitigating risk in fast-paced environments.

Palanda also served as Assistant General Counsel for Corporate Risk & Compliance at MillerKnoll, formerly known as Herman Miller, Inc., where she played a pivotal role in advising senior leadership on critical operational and business development decisions. While there, she spearheaded a global corporate compliance program in addition to directing and leading the company’s product safety, product liability litigation, and corporate risk portfolios.

Palanda holds a JD from Tulane Law School and a B.S. from Dillard University and is admitted to practice in California and the United States District Court – Central District of California. Additionally, she is certified in International Mediation and Conflict Resolution and Domestic Arbitration.
