McCahey is a Vice President on the Contingent Risk Practice, where she helps clients procure insurance solutions for litigation-related risks.

Prior to joining CAC Specialty, McCahey was an associate in the Commercial Litigation group at Debevoise & Plimpton LLP, where she gained extensive experience litigating civil suits in both federal and state courts, including development of case strategy, briefing, discovery, and resolution. Her work spanned a wide variety of disputes, including securities litigation, intellectual property, insurance, contract disputes, and healthcare matters.

McCahey clerked in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York. She received her J.D. from Cornell Law School, where she served as Senior Articles Editor for the Cornell International Law Journal, Bench Editor for the Moot Court Board, and an Honors Fellow. McCahey received her B.A. in History from Johns Hopkins University with university and departmental honors. Following her graduation from Johns Hopkins, McCahey was a Fulbright Program grantee in Indonesia.
