Matt Holzinger is a Vice President in the Business Development Practice, specializing in general partnership liability, private equity, and financial institutions.
Before joining CAC Specialty, Matt led an underwriting team at Everest Insurance, where he oversaw and developed the team responsible for GPL lines, focusing on Private Equity, Venture Capital, and private Real Estate funds. Under his leadership, the team managed over $30 million in renewal premiums, generated more than $4.5 million in new premiums, and achieved a 96% retention ratio in 2023. Prior to this role, he served as a Senior Underwriter with the Private Equity Team at Axis Capital.
Matt holds a bachelor’s degree in finance and an MBA from Endicott College, where he was also a member of the varsity lacrosse team. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, traveling, supporting New York sports teams, and exploring new restaurants.
