Lauren Black

Lauren entered the insurance industry through CAC Agency as a Junior Account Executive within the Education Practice. Since then, Lauren was promoted to Associate Account Executive and was the recipient of a 2021 Service Award. In 2022, Lauren was promoted to Account Executive in the Middle Market division of CAC Agency and manages the strategy and relationship for each unique client and prospect. Lauren also oversees the data collection process through her team and coordinates the renewal and marketing efforts. She is responsible for day-to-day operations such as quoting and binding comprehensive programs, communicating with current and prospective clients, and presenting coverage to the clients to secure the deal.

Before joining CAC Agency, Lauren incorporated her psychology background into business marketing efforts for a local startup, implementing strategic digital marketing tactics over social media to increase brand awareness and client retention.

Lauren graduated from Indiana University with bachelor’s degrees in both psychology and American history. She also holds licensure as a Property and Casualty agent with hopes of starting the ARM designation soon. Lauren also sits on the board of Young Risk Professionals of Birmingham and the Birmingham Independent Insurance Agents, allowing her to stay engaged with others in the field and up to date on industry trends. Lauren loves engaging with the community through volunteering efforts; working on projects through her church, in the youth ministry, and as a member of the leadership team for the Cobbs Gives Back Committee.
