Johnathan Daniel

Johnathan Daniel (JD) serves as the Chief Financial Officer of CAC Group, where he leads the firm’s financial strategy, capital planning, and operational finance initiatives. JD joined CAC Agency in April 2022 as Controller and was appointed CFO in 2025, bringing with him a strong track record of financial leadership across public and private companies. JD is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Alabama. He is Accredited in Business Valuation by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Before joining CAC Group, JD served as Senior Director of SEC Reporting at Science 37, where he led SEC reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance efforts associated with Science 37’s public listing via de-SPAC transaction. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller at ProAssurance Corporation, a publicly traded specialty insurer, where he led finance, accounting, and internal control functions.

JD began his career in public accounting at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), serving clients in the insurance sector. He later joined RSM US, LLP as a management consultant, advising companies on complex accounting, internal controls, and valuation matters.

JD earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce and Business Administration, summa cum laude, from the University of Alabama.

Outside of work, JD enjoys reading and spending time with his wife and their two sons. His wife is an Instructor of Accounting at the University of Alabama.
