J.R. Appling

J.R. Appling joined CAC Agency in January of 2022 as a Risk Consultant for the Property & Casualty team in Birmingham, AL. His primary focus is on Captive Solutions as well as Loss Sensitive programs for Construction & Property Risk.

JR has experience in consulting from his prior time with Byars Wright and McGriff, Seibels & Williams resulting in 5 years of insurance experience. He holds two designations with his Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist designation (CRIS) as well as the Certified Professional Insurance Agent Designation (CPIA).

Outside of work, J.R. is a member of the United Ability Junior board and enjoys fishing, hunting, and other outdoor activities. J.R. is a graduate from Troy University where he obtained his B.S.BA. in business administration, management, and operations with a focus on risk management and insurance.
