Gary King

Gary King is the Executive Chairman of CAC Specialty’s Natural Resources Practice focused on 4 verticals: Oil and Gas, Power and Renewables, Mining and Metals, and Surety (all industries). He has experience in retailing and wholesaling energy risks in both Houston and London. Prior to starting the CAC Specialty Natural Resource Practice in September 2020, Gary spent 23 years with McGriff Seibels & Williams in Houston, leading the growth of the firm’s energy team as Executive Vice President. Gary began his career in 1986 as a Lloyd’s of London energy technician and broker before moving to the United States in 1996.

Gary has extensive experience in producing, structuring, and placing insurance and reinsurance programs for some of the largest energy companies in the world. He has placed and handled complex risks around the globe, including the United States, the Middle East, the UK, Central and West Africa, Australia, South and Central America, and the Caribbean.

Gary is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute, London.
