Filmon Issak

Filmon Issak is an Assistant Account Manager for the Natural Resources Practice at CAC Specialty.

He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a Data Science focus and a minor in Economics at the University of Houston. Filmon has demonstrated resilience and dedication by balancing full-time studies with part-time work to fund his education.

Professionally, Filmon has gained valuable experience as a Program Assistant at PAIR, a nonprofit organization supporting newcomers and refugees, where he mentored students, developed math curricula, and facilitated smooth transitions for middle and high school students. He further honed his skills during an internship at Dell Technologies, where he contributed to data science research, professional development initiatives, and strategic recommendations for technological adoption.

Filmon has also undertaken impactful academic projects, including data analysis on diabetes diagnosis variables and wine quality, utilizing tools like R, logistic regression, and decision trees. His independent work for Teddy Home & Remodeling LLC involved creating an Excel-based system to improve financial reporting and customer data management.

An active member of Gamma Iota Sigma, Filmon has developed analytical and risk management skills while expanding his professional network. He also serves as a Youth Ministry Leader at Emmanuel Eritrean Church, where he organizes weekly schedules for over 100 attendees and ensures operational efficiency.
