Eddie Cooney

Eddie Cooney is a Vice President, Account Executive in the Financial Lines Practice at CAC Specialty.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with Minors in Mathematics and Business Foundations from The University of Texas at Austin. Eddie has built a robust career, progressing through various roles in claims management, underwriting, and brokering.

Prior to joining CAC, Eddie served as Assistant Vice President in Aon’s Financial Services Group, where he specialized in management liability for public and large private accounts. Prior to his time at Aon, he spent several years as a private company underwriter specializing in writing management liability policies.

He is adept at negotiating competitive coverage, developing client strategies, and fostering relationships with senior-level stakeholders. His expertise extends to market trends, pricing practices, and underwriting policies.

Passionate about financial literacy, Eddie has been active with Junior Achievement and volunteered to teach a personal finance course at a local high school. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, learning languages, and spending time with his family.

Eddie strongly believes in client advocacy and holds the RPLU designation from PLUS.
