Brian Clay

Brian Clay is the Executive Vice President and Practice Leader for the Human Capital Risk Practice at CAC Specialty where he leverages his extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions. He is highly skilled at providing Private Equity clients and their portfolio companies with comprehensive advisory support, ranging from due diligence to the divestiture of assets, with a particular focus on employee benefits.

Prior to joining CAC Specialty, Brian served as a Senior Vice President / Portfolio Manager for Lockton Companies where he was instrumental in generating new business, particularly within private equity. He achieved this through close collaboration with key producers, the due diligence team, and account executives. Brian was also responsible for creating a regional delivery model, establishing a team of dedicated account executives backed by subject matter experts in Private Equity transactions. Prior to this, Brian excelled as the Senior Vice President / M&A Employee Benefits Practice Leader at Aon. In this capacity, he managed large multinational transactions across diverse regions including North America, EMEA, and Asia.

Brian holds a bachelor’s degree from New School University. He also holds professional licenses as a Health and Accident Insurance Producer and Life Insurance Producer.
