Billy Nicholls

Billy Nicholls is a Tax Analyst within the Tax Insurance Practice for CAC Specialty, where he will be assisting clients to obtain tax insurance.  He is excited to leverage his public accounting and in‑house corporate tax experience to facilitate strong communication with clients and contribute to the continued growth and adoption of tax insurance.

Prior to joining CAC Specialty, Billy was a Tax Analyst at Republic Services, Inc. in the corporate tax department. His primary responsibilities included tax compliance, tax research, and providing tax due-diligence assistance for mergers and acquisitions. Additionally, he assisted in preparing financial models and tax‑driven projections for renewable energy and other investment projects. Earlier in his career, Billy worked as a Tax Associate at BDO, where he focused on corporate compliance, income tax provisions, and tax-related audit procedures.

Billy graduated with honors from Grand Canyon University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Masters of Accountancy. He also obtained his CPA license from the State of Arizona in 2025.
