Jim Biggins is the Senior Vice President, Director of Risk Engineer in Natural Resources Practice. He primarily focuses on power and renewables but will also assist the Oil & Gas and Mining & Metals teams. Jim’s unique experience as an engineer makes him an asset to the team.

With 35 years of experience, Jim served 11 years as Managing Consultant for Global Risk Consultants and 26 years as Vice President, Senior Consultant at Marsh & McLennan. Jim has developed standards, guidelines, and conceptual designs for fire protection, developed client policies and procedures, assisted in underwriter presentation, and collaborated with clients to drive risk program improvement. He holds both a Professional Engineer (PE) and Certified Safety Professional (CSP) designation. Also, Jim leads the TUV SUD Power Generation Focus Group and is the current Chair for NFPA 855 Battery Storage Standards Committee.

Jim is a graduate of the Illinois Institute of Technology where he earned his degree in Fire Protection & Safety Engineering.
