John Kosir

John Kosir joined CAC Specialty in September 2023 as a Senior Vice President for the Transactional Insurance Practice.

Before joining, John had an extensive tenure as a partner at Kirkland & Ellis LLP. During his time there, he specialized in leading complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, divestitures, restructurings, private financings, executive compensation, incentive equity arrangements, and other general corporate matters.

John graduated with honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he received a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Master of Accounting Science. John received his J.D. from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where he received the Chicago Bar Association’s award for his school’s top tax student. Furthermore, John is a registered Certified Public Accountant in Illinois.
