April Springfield

April is Senior Vice President and Claims Counsel at CAC Specialty in the Legal and Claims Practice where she specializes in coverage advocacy, insurance recovery, legal research, and crafting innovative insurance solutions for clients.

April has claims management and coverage advocacy experience, serving most recently as Vice President and Claims Account Executive in the Financial Services Division at McGriff, Seibels & Williams. At McGriff, April managed complex financial lines claims and facilitated millions of dollars in insurance recovery for her Fortune 1000 clients, including a $5M limit loss on 350 interrelated TCPA claims, a $10M recovery on a wage and hour class action, and a tower loss on interrelated consolidated securities and consolidated derivative actions.

April received her Bachelor of Arts Degree, summa cum laude, in Psychology from Georgia State University. She earned her Juris Doctor and Health Law Certificate, cum laude with Highest Distinction Pro Bono Honors, from Georgia State University College of Law where she also worked as a student attorney in the Philip C. Cook Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic, served as a Graduate Research Assistant to Professor Paul A. Lombardo, and received numerous honors and awards including the Atlanta Bar Association Senator Paul D. Coverdell Tax Clinic Service Award and other awards for excellence in legal writing.

Prior to law school, April was a public-school teacher for three years.
