Nick Moore

Nick is Senior Vice President and Head of CAC’s London Contingent Risk Office, where he leads the firm’s expansion of its Contingent Risk practice across the UK and Europe.

Operating at the intersection of legal risk, capital formation, insurance, and complex asset value protection, Nick advises corporates, financial sponsors, claimants, class representatives, law firms, and professional advisors on the use of insurance-backed solutions to manage contingent exposures and enhance investment certainty.

He has more than 15 years’ experience across litigation finance, legal asset investment, contingent risk insurance, and structured risk-transfer solutions. His practice focuses on helping clients protect downside risk, preserve asset value, support transaction execution, and unlock capital tied to litigation, arbitration, and other contingent legal exposures.

Before joining CAC, Nick led litigation and contingent risk initiatives across the UK and EMEA at a global insurance broker, where he originated and executed complex insurance solutions for corporates, financial sponsors, and professional advisors. In that role, he worked closely with boards, investors, and senior executives to de-risk litigation exposure, facilitate M&A, monetise legal assets, protect balance sheets, and align legal risk strategy with wider financial and commercial objectives.

Previously, Nick was a member of the investment team at Therium Capital Management, where he managed the origination, diligence, structuring, and active management of high value litigation and arbitration finance investments.

Nick trained and qualified as a lawyer at CMS Cameron McKenna LLP, specialising in insurance and reinsurance disputes. He holds an LLB from Durham University and completed the LPC at Nottingham Law School.
