Matt Rush

Matt Rush is a Senior Vice President and Casualty Lead within the Private Equity and Transactional Liability Practice. As an accomplished insurance professional, Matt has extensive experience in managing complex insurance portfolios and delivering exceptional client service.

Prior to joining, Matt served as Risk Management Director at Marsh & McLennan Agency, LLC, where he provided strategic leadership and technical expertise for the firms largest and most complex clients while also overseeing a $2M book of middle-market and loss-sensitive accounts. He was recognized for his leadership in client deliverables, recruitment, and training, earning accolades such as the 2020 Colleague of the Year for the Midwest Region and the National APEX Award.

With a career spanning over 18 years, Matt has held key roles at leading firms such as JLT Specialty USA and Aon Risk Services. His expertise includes cultivating client relationships, developing bespoke insurance solutions, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver tailored risk management strategies. He has worked across diverse industries, including manufacturing, life science, real estate, agribusiness, construction, healthcare, technology, and public entities.

Matt holds designations as a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM), along with an OH Property and Casualty Insurance Producer license. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business with a focus on Finance from Miami University (OH). His technical expertise spans general liability, workers’ compensation, property, umbrella/excess coverage, and specialized areas such as contractors’ equipment and cargo insurance.
